FAQS

I CAN’T COMMIT TO A REGULAR ART GROUP, WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

🎨 20 Hours of casual tuition in any regular group is available to be used over 3-12 months (limited number), book as you go.

🎨 Private tuition can be booked as individual 2-hour sessions or in discounted group blocks of 5 or 10, to be scheduled over 6-12 mths when possible. Read more here.

🎨 Also, check out what casual workshops are scheduled. There is an option on the enrolment form to book one t a time or in the Casual Pass which can be used in term groups and casual workshops, booked in ad hoc when your schedule allows.

I NEED A PAINTING KIT, WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

There is a section devoted to recommended materials, for both drawing and/or painting in different mediums

IF I MISS A SESSION, CAN I MAKE IT UP?

Casual bookings for private or groups can be cancelled or re-scheduled (with notice), policy is found on Casual Workshops page.

Regular groups pay a lower rate for a term, missed sessions are not re-run, however, online materials are available for more work at home and sometimes if an alternative group is not full, a student may be able to drop in.

If I am feeling unwell, what SHOULD I do?

All students and artists appreciate your avoidance of spreading any virus at the studios.
we offer some alternatives so you can ‘soldier on’ at home.
* Request some Projects and/or Modules from the online studio to undertake yourself at home

* Since lockdowns, we have a Zoom system in place, so unwell, distant or traveling students can request a Zoom attendance.

All you need is the Zoom app downloaded onto your device and a login will be provided NB. Zoom is only activated and on if you phone and request it in advance.

* If there is potential space, a drop-in to an alternative group session can possibly be arranged in the same term

* A credit to use towards a casual art workshop is also an option if neither of the first two are possible.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL ART CLASS LOOK LIKE?

Each regular group is made up of individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying levels of prior experience, from beginners to intermediate or advanced.

All art groups are facilitated in practical sessions, as well as with the Online studio materials which also allow for the rapid development of those who can make the time to draw, read and even paint in their own time outside of class time.

Students often start with still life studies, landscape, ocean paintings but can draw and paint any theme, any gentre, as they develop their drawing and design skills.
